BIRDWATCHING (David Hunter)
This is an informal Group for anyone with an interest in bird life whatever their level of experience.
On our monthly outings we travel to areas where birds would be expected and help each other to spot, identify and learn more about them. Stout footwear and weatherproof clothing advised, and don’t forget binoculars. No dogs please.
Second Friday of the month, mostly morning outings but two full day trips are planned in December and May.
Except on the full day trips, groups are limited to about twelve. If any destination is oversubscribed, a repeat visit may be possible on the third or fourth Friday.

10th October - Holy Island (Causeway safe 09:40 - 15:20)
14th November - Skateraw
12th December - Vane Farm, Loch Leven (ALL DAY)
16th January* - West Barns & Belhaven Bay
13th February - The Hirsel, Coldstream
13th March - Berwick Beach
10th April - Allanton Woods
8th May - Hauxley (ALL DAY)
*Note that the January outing is on the third Friday to avoid clashing with the Geology Group
